Switch windows for every approval

When an AI writes code for you, it asks before editing files or running commands. With ClauDeck, you approve by pressing the key that lights up.

Run several AI sessions side by side

Each Claude Code, Codex or Antigravity session gets its own key, so you can see at a glance which one is thinking and which one is stuck.

Miss approval requests while doing other work

When an approval is needed, the key flashes and a sound plays, even while you are working in another window.

Features

What it does

Each AI session is assigned one Stream Deck key, called a "slot". Look at the key to see its status; press it to approve or to switch to that window.

See the status

Thinking, Working, Approve, Input, Idle, Ended and more are shown as key colors and text. A colored band at the top tells you which AI the slot belongs to (Claude Code orange, Codex blue, Antigravity purple).

Approve with a key

When an approval is needed, the key flashes. Press it to approve. To deny, hold the Deny key and press the slot. If you do nothing, the request goes back to the AI's own screen after 15 seconds (default).

Jump back to that AI

Press a key that is not waiting for approval to bring that session's window to the front. In Terminal.app, it also selects the right tab.

Guard against mistakes

How you press depends on the impact. A normal approval is a single press; high-impact actions such as deletions or push need a hold (0.8 s or longer). You can cancel within 1.5 s after pressing, and presses within 0.3 s of a key lighting up are ignored.

Read the list on a dial

Put it on a Stream Deck + XL dial and it becomes a window into your session list. Read the rest of prompts that do not fit on a key, and press to bring that window forward.

Claude Code on another machine

Claude Code running on a Linux machine over SSH can be shown and approved on the same deck. You choose the host yourself.

Reading key colors (main ones)

Limits

What it cannot do

It does not run on Intel Macs. Apple silicon Macs (macOS 13 or later) only. Windows, Linux, iPhone and iPad are not supported.
You need a Stream Deck. The app shows everything on keys, so it cannot be used without a Stream Deck and the Stream Deck app.
Multiple-choice questions cannot be answered from the deck. Press the "Input" key to open the window and answer there.
For desktop AI apps, it only brings the app forward. In the Codex, Claude and Antigravity desktop apps, it cannot select a specific session inside the app.
SSH remote supports Claude Code only. Remote slots cannot open windows, and Codex over SSH is not supported.
If your AI never asks for approval, there is nothing to approve. With Claude Code in auto mode, Codex in dontAsk or bypassPermissions, or headless runs (such as claude -p), the AI does not ask, so keys show status only.

If you use Antigravity

Antigravity supports status display, window switching and approvals, but the scope of approvals and the setup differ from Claude Code and Codex.

Read-only actions are never held. Only writes, command execution and similar actions (Tier 2 and above in Antigravity's terms) are sent for approval.
If you use auto-execution (EAGER), turning on approvals adds a ClauDeck confirmation to actions that used to run automatically.
If you do not press the deck, Antigravity returns to its own auto-execution setting after 15 seconds (default).
Approvals are only enabled when you choose "承認・拒否も有効" (Approve/Deny enabled) under "Agent Integration" → "Antigravity". Quit and reopen Antigravity after applying.

How it works

Getting started

About five minutes from download to first use. No coding needed.

Install and open

Open the DMG, drag ClauDeck to the Applications folder, and open it. A deck-shaped icon appears in the menu bar.
Connect your AI and Stream Deck

Register your AI tools under "Agent Integration" in the menu, then run "Install Stream Deck Plugin…". In the Stream Deck app, drag "ClauDeck Slot" onto any key to make it a slot.
Work with your AI as usual

When you give the AI a task, its status appears on a slot. When a key lights up for approval, check what it is and press it.

Network and data

Talking to the AI tools, drawing the keys and passing approvals all happen inside your Mac. ClauDeck connects outside your Mac in these 3 cases only.

Like loading any web page, the update check lets the server see your Mac's IP address and similar details. ClauDeck does not send usage statistics or crash reports.

Prompt text and file contents are used to draw keys and pass approvals, then discarded; by default they are not saved anywhere. "Always allow" records are kept in memory only and expire after 24 hours. See the Privacy Policy & Disclaimer for details.

Frequently asked questions

Is it really free?

Yes. There are no ads, no paid upgrade and no account. I built it for my own work and share it so other Mac users can use it too.

Why was it made?

I wanted "Codex Micro", a dedicated device for checking Codex task status at a glance, but it was sold out. I realized that combining my Stream Deck with the way Claude Code, Codex and Antigravity report their progress could do the same job, so I built ClauDeck.

Does it work on Intel Macs?

No. ClauDeck runs only on Apple silicon Macs with macOS 13 or later.

Which Stream Deck models work?

Any model the Stream Deck app supports, such as 5×3, XL, + and Pedal. The dial "window" feature is only available on models with dials.

Does my AI stop working if ClauDeck is not running?

No. While ClauDeck is not running, or when an approval could not be shown on the deck, the AI asks on its own screen as usual. The deck shows "ClauDeck / Offline".

What if I press the wrong key?

For 1.5 seconds after you approve, the key shows "Undoable". Press the same key again to cancel sending the approval. This does not undo actions that have already run.

How does ClauDeck receive the AI's status?

Claude Code, Codex and Antigravity can notify another program at key points in their work (called hooks). ClauDeck registers itself there through "Agent Integration" and receives the notifications through a channel that only programs on the same Mac can use (a Unix domain socket). Nothing leaves your Mac.

Do I need to restart after changing settings?

Usually not. The settings file is reloaded automatically when saved and applies from the next approval.

How do I update?

ClauDeck checks for a new version at launch and shows a notice if there is one. Press "Update Now" to download, replace and relaunch. To update manually, see the download page.

How do I uninstall it?

Remove the registrations under "Agent Integration", quit ClauDeck and move the app to the Trash. Steps for deleting settings and logs are in "Uninstalling" on the download page.
