What it does
MailDeck shows Google's own web pages. Mail and calendar features are Google's, as they are.
A separate sign-in for each account
Each account uses its own storage, so sign-ins never mix. Keep work, personal and side-job accounts open at the same time.
Four Google services
For each account, switch between Mail (Gmail), Calendar, Keep and Contacts with the buttons at the top. Pick accounts with ⌘1–9, too.
Unread counts together
Checks each account's Gmail inbox about every 5 minutes and shows unread counts in the account list, the Dock and the menu bar, including accounts you are not viewing.
Search all accounts at once
Use the search button at the top or ⌘⇧F to search Gmail in every account you added.
Collapse the list for more room
⌘⌥S collapses the account list to icons. Clean View hides Gmail's Chat, Meet and side panel.
Stays running; links open in your browser
"Close window" hides only the window and keeps checking unread mail. Links in emails open in your usual browser.
MailDeck also updates itself: it checks for a new version 5 seconds after launch and every 30 minutes, and pressing "アップデートして再起動" (Update and Restart) replaces and reopens the app (from 1.3.3, Mac).
What it doesn't do
1.3.1 mistakes outdated version information bundled inside the app for the latest release, so it never asks this site for a new version. No notice appears when one is released, and "アップデートを確認…" (Check for Updates) says "MailDeck は最新です" (MailDeck is up to date). If you use 1.3.1, please replace it with the latest version from the download page.
- Mail services other than Google (iCloud, Outlook and so on) are not supported.
- It does not store your mail on the Mac. What you see are Google's own pages.
- It opens only Gmail, Calendar, Keep and Contacts, not other Google services such as Drive.
- Intel Macs are not supported, and it does not launch on macOS 12 or earlier.
How to get started

Download and move it to Applications
Open the DMG and drag MailDeck into the Applications folder.

Add a Google account
In Settings (⌘,), press "Googleアカウントを追加" (Add Google account). Google's sign-in page opens in a separate window. Only accounts that finish signing in are added.

Pick from the list on the left
Choose an account, then switch between Mail, Calendar, Keep and Contacts with the buttons at the top. See the User Guide for details.
Network and data
MailDeck does not send usage data (telemetry). It connects to only two things: Google services and the update check. MailDeck never stores your Google password.
YuIt talks to just the two destinations in this table.

- Settings such as account names, colors and window position, and each account's sign-in (cookies), are stored on this Mac in ~/Library/Application Support/maildeck.
- Links in emails open in your usual browser, not in MailDeck. What happens after that is up to the browser.

FAQ
Why is it free?
I built it for my own work and want other Mac users to be able to use it too. There are no ads and no upsell to a paid version.
How do I update?
The app tells you when a new version is out. From 1.3.3 on (Mac), pressing "アップデートして再起動" (Update and Restart) in that window is all it takes. Your accounts and sign-ins are kept. 1.3.2 and earlier only open the download page from the notice (1.3.1 shows no notice at all), so please install the latest DMG from the download page over the MailDeck in your Applications folder once by hand.
Does it work on Intel Macs or macOS 12?
No. MailDeck is for Apple silicon Macs only and requires macOS 13 or later. This site used to say "macOS 12 or later", but the app we distribute is set to require macOS 13 or later.
Is my Google password stored in MailDeck?
No. You sign in on Google's own page. MailDeck stores the sign-in state (cookies) that Google issues, separately for each account, on this Mac.
How do I uninstall it?
Move MailDeck from the Applications folder to the Trash. To remove your sign-ins as well, first run "MailDeckを初期化…" (Reset MailDeck) in the app's settings, or delete the folder ~/Library/Application Support/maildeck. Steps are on the download page.
